The net “Bookvoed” in St Petersburg has launched a new device for reading e-books. It is called “i-Ved”. A similar device has been sold via online shop “Ozon” for more than a year. The most part of the sold issues are paper based.
The producer of the device is Netronix.
It is a black and white touch screen reader with electronic ink. “i-Ved” has 2 Gb of memory and plus an extra 2 Gb memory card, a mini-USB log, a headphone jack. Thanks to its Wi-Fi module users are able to buy e-books directly from Bookvoed.
At the beginning of next year there will be an opportunity to buy even paper based books.
The “i-Ved” price is just $ 217 that is $ 50 less than that sold via Ozon!
The price of books in an electronic store LitRes, Bookvoed’s partner in this project, is $ 1.6 - $ 3. For example, the latest novel by Victor Pelevin costs only $ 3, while its paper version costs about $ 17.
