The «Iron» Video editor for iPad
The Edit Director of «Iron Man» and «Iron Man2», Dan Lebental put out mobile app TouchEdit for video editing intended for iPad tablets.
The application can be used by both amateurs and professionals in film industry as offers wide functionality. As Lebental says, he has already used iPad for video edit at pilot episode in NBC series «My boy».
TouchEdit works with H.264 video format 1080 resolution, MPEG-4, 640 x 480p and M-JPEG 1280 x 720 and it supports audio with 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz sampling rate.
TouchEdit is presented as single-frame nonlinear video installation system for iPad which uses time-code for project export into other nonlinear systems. There are two «video displays» used for editing execution.
TouchEdit supports eight stereo sound channels which can be mixed with the image. Moreover TouchEdit is supplied with free sound effect library.
