According to Global Equities Research more than 350, 000 downloads of Apple’s e-textbooks were downloaded from the company’s iBook store within the first three days of availability (All Things Digital).
And according to Global Equities Research, there were some 90,000 downloads of iBooks Author, Apple’s free textbook-creation tool, during the same time.
Apple has not given any accurate data that deal with iBookstore, it will be able to do it next week while announcing the results of the first quarter of 2011-12.
New products that are for educational usage, Apple represented at the conference that took place last week. A new version of iBooks 2 was introduced, this app contains different books with reach multimedia contents.
Apple’s partners in launching new products and services were such well-known American publishing houses Pearson, McGraw-Hill and others.
According to Apple’s Marketing Vice-President Philipp Schiller educational institutes use more than 1,5 million iPads, more than 20,000 educational apps has been developed.
