This document is for developers of e-pupil's books (e-Books), electronic applications for study books and teaching materials. They can be used for educational purposes and achieving the Russian State Educational Standards of new generation.

These recommendations identify functions and structure of e-Books.

They include requirements of content forms, ergonomics and methods of quality evaluation. It can provide content integration, necessary functionality and ergonomics.

There are product definitions and normative links to standards, used for recommendations creation, given in this document.

e-Book functionality

e-Book is the main part of the Interactive educational system, oriented to educational process, based on information communication technologies and use of modern forms and methods of education.

Based on modern mobile device e-Book is considered as an alternative to a traditional paper study book.

e-Book functional structure

e-Book functional structure shall be matched by its aim in educational process and shall include the following components:

1. Main material, providing a main content of study subject;
2. Additional material, connected with the main one by clear navigation system and aimed for extend basic knowledge;
3. Explanations;
4. Study materials digestion system, including modeling, fixating and controlling components;
5. Navigation system.
